Clinic days: Tuesday and Wednesday at Point Cook
Emily is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology). Since then, she has worked with children and adults in a number of clinics, schools, preschools and homes.
She is trained in using the Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) communication system as a means of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), Key Word Sign, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and has experience with using the Spalding method for literacy. Emily has gained valuable experience working with children with developmental delays and disorders such as
ASD, diagnosed dyslexia, ADHD, Childhood Apraxia of Speech and language delays/disorders. She has a special interest in literacy and orofacial myology.
Emily strives to ensure her therapy sessions are positive and rewarding for each individual and family. She enjoys working with families, teachers and other professionals so that therapy gains can generalise across all contexts and environments in a child’s life.
